Residential Retreats

In your second year you can take advantage of opportunities to attend residential weeks or weekends where you will be able to study with students from other UK branches.

They give an opportunity to make a deeper penetration of the study in a more sustained way than is possible in the weekly classes; there are fewer distractions and students usually enjoy the good company and camaraderie of the larger group.

These events are held at Waterperry House in Oxfordshire, a delightful country estate with beautiful gardens, a museum of rural life and some extraordinary frescoes painted by our art group depicting the philosophy taught by the school.

The estate is just a 75 minute drive from Kingston. The residential programme includes periods of study, reflection, quiet time or meditation as well as practical work.

The event is run and serviced by the tutors and students on the residential.

The historic house has been much extended and modernised and provides comfortable accommodation for up to seventy students.

The residential fees are kept to a minimum. (£60/night full board@2023 rates)
