In addition to our usual Introductory Practical Philosophy Course which is on Wednesday Mornings, there is an opportunity for new students to join a group which started last term who will be studying Part 2 of our Practical Philosophy course entitled: Happiness. Each week will be self-explanatory and no prior knowledge is needed. We will discuss the many aspects of happiness, enriching your understanding and practical application of timeless philosophical wisdom. Our course provides an engaging journey of self-discovery and personal transformation. It offers invaluable insights into life and your own true self, illuminating the path to a truly happy and fulfilling existence.

How it works on our courses
A tutor presents material, and leads a discussion based on what arises. Being practical rather than academic, the emphasis is on student’s observation and experience. Students are encouraged neither to accept nor reject the ideas put forward, but to test them in practice for themselves, in the light of their own experience.

Wonderful classes
"Thank you so much to my tutor for the wonderful classes that you have taken.
My whole life has transformed since joining the course. I feel a much better person and that is all credit to you and the way you conduct the class and encourage its members.”

The present moment
“This course ‘woke me up’, particularly to the present moment. Learning to use the ‘full stop’ between daily events and pausing, rather than everything running in to one continuum”

Very practical
“I have thoroughly enjoyed this course. It has been very practical and has given me lots of tools and exercises to use in my daily life. Coming back each week and feeding back to the group has reinforced what I have learned and given me extra pointers”.
