One-off Sessions
This is an exciting new venture starting in the Easter holiday 2026. These One-off informal sessions in the school holidays will explore philosophical topics or questions relevant to life today. No prior knowledge will be required. There will be a variety of interesting topics which should be engaging, enjoyable and relevant to all.
Experimentation & Questions
There will be an element of experimentation and we will endeavour to explore any question with an open mind, keeping it as practical and relevant as possible to life today through direct experience. If you have questions or topics you would like to discuss, bring them along and we would be happy to explore them with the group.
Generally we are expecting each session to involve three broad elements:
1) Study of some aspect of philosophy from East or West possibly great philosophers like Plato, Socrates, Shankara, Lao Tsu, Dalai Lama, as well as Sri Shantananda Sarasvati and other teachers from the great seats of Vedantic wisdom in India. We will make sure it is appropriate for those who attend and will always welcome and respond to questions.
2) Practice a philosophical exercise and share our experiences.
3) Enjoy tea and coffee and good company in the Hub Cafe.
It takes place during the Easter, Summer and Christmas holidays on Tuesday afternoons from 2.15-4.30pm at The Hampton Inspired Hub, 3 Ashley Rd, TW12 2JA. (Conference Room) and the next sessions will be around Easter on 7th, 14th, 21st and 28th April 2026.
- Discretionary donation of £5 / session is requested either on the door or by booking a place in advance above (by cash or card).
Past students might like this opportunity to reconnect and join us even if only for one session, and newcomers are of course very welcome. Just turn up on the day or book a place in advance. If you let us have your mobile number you could join our WhatsApp group to keep up to date on these weekly holiday sessions.
We will always endeavour to find fresh ways to energise and inspire the practical work of philosophy for all our students as well as those from all UK Branches of the School and everyone is welcome whether you study regularly with our school or not.
