One-off Sessions
This is an exciting new venture starting in the Easter holiday 2026. There will be a variety of interesting topics which should be engaging, enjoyable and relevant to all.
Experimentation & Questions
There will be an element of experimentation as it is not a structured course and we will endeavour to explore any question with an open mind, keeping it practical and relevant to everyday life today. If you have questions or topics you would like to discuss, let us know on the day (or better still, in advance) and we would be happy to explore them with the group.
Each session is likely to include:
1) Some aspect of philosophy from East or West, possibly from great philosophers like Plato, Socrates, Shankara, Lao Tsu, Dalai Lama, Sri Shantananda Sarasvati and other teachers from the great seats of Vedantic wisdom in India. It will be appropriate for those who attend and we welcome and respond to questions.
2) A philosophical exercise and/or break-out discussion groups and share our experiences.
3) Enjoy tea and coffee and good company in the Hub Cafe.
It will take place during the Easter, Summer and Christmas holidays on Tuesday afternoons and the first sessions will be over Easter on 7th, 14th, 21st and 28th April 2026.
- Suggested Voluntary donation – £5 / session (by cash or card) on the day or by booking a place in advance . (Accommodation is limited so advance booking secures a place and helps us prepare for the right expected number. Please ignore the word ‘Price’ – this is a voluntary donation)
We will always endeavour to find fresh ways to energise and inspire the practical work of philosophy and everyone is welcome.
